Done Drinking is a Great Drunk Game for the iPhone

Go Big or Go Home

iPhone developers have proven over the last twelve months that they have an unhealthy obsession with binge drinking. From iPint to the Beer Counter there are enough applications dedicated to the Irish pastime that is seems redundant to even mention another one. Now we have Done Drinking, and if this isn’t a nostalgic look at college dependence then I don’t know what is.

That’ll Happen

The premise of this game is to use the balance function of the iPhone to help a drunk person walk strait. They are walking toward you and you have to tilt the phone to counteract each way that they lean in their drunken stupor. If they start going right, you have to go left. The key here is to tilt it just enough to get them back on track but not enough to send them running to the other side of the screen. You get three tries, and in between each one you get an amusing rendition of the music and animation going backwards until you are back at the starting line.

Pop Off

The game does give you the option to use arrows on the touch screen or the tilt function, and having both at once is nice. The game does sport nice animation and the annoying little song becomes somewhat catchy very quickly. If you get annoyed with it you can easily turn it down in the preferences, or lose it completely. All of your statistics get saved in the Walk of Fame, which marks things like how many walks you have taken, what the shortest walk was, what the longest walk was, and how far you have gone in total. It even offers to give you a metric view of the distance, though it is strictly in meters.

It Would Be Stupid Not To

Of course this is not a huge gaming package, but it will give you enough game time to warrant the free download. The perfect way to play this game is to take a shot at the beginning of every stumble and then go for the high score. That makes the tilting a tad more epic. Six and a half out of ten stars.
