The Sims 3 Energy Moodlets

Energy Moodlets in “The Sims 3” all involve sleep or drinking something caffeinated to some degree. Here are the current moodlets for energy in the game:

Sleepy – lasts for 3 hours and has no mood effect.

Tired – lasts for 3 hours and has a negative 40 mood effect.

Exhausted – lasts until your Sim falls asleep and has a negative 50 mood effect. Your Sim will eventually fall asleep – even if it is on the floor!

Rude Awakening – lasts for 30 minutes and has a negative 10 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet from waking up from the TV, music, an alarm clock, or crying children.

Bad Night’s Sleep – lasts for 6 hours and has a negative 15 mood effect. Your Sim will sometimes receive this moodlet from sleeping on a cheap bed or a cheap tent from World Adventures.

Nice Nap – lasts for 5 hours and has a positive 10 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet from napping.

Cuddle Time – lasts for 5 hours and has a positive 20 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet from sleeping with a teddy bear. Must be a toddler, child, or adult with the Childish Sims 3 Trait.

Well Rested – lasts for 10 hours and has a positive 10 to 30 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet from waking up after a full night’s rest and varies in amount due to the quality of the bed they slept on.

The Sims 3 Juice Bar

Adrenaline Rush – this is one of the Sims 3 energy moodlets that lasts for 3 hours and has a positive 15 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet from being in a dangerous situation, such as a fire.

Buzzed – lasts for 3 hours and has a positive 30 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet from drinking a caffeinated drink.

Buzz Crash – lasts for 3 hours and has a negative 10 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet after their buzz has crashed from drinking a caffeinated drink.

Moodlets that Require Expansion Packs

Some of the energy moodlets in “The Sims 3” requires an expansion package. Here are the ones that have been released so far:

Slept Like a King (requires The Sims 3: World Adventures) – lasts for 10 hours and has a positive 40 mood effect. A male Sim will sometimes receive this moodlet after sleeping in the “Sultan’s Tabernacle” which can be purchased for 2,500 Ancient Coins from a Special Merchant (requires a level 3 Visa).

Slept Like a Queen (requires The Sims 3: World Adventures) – lasts for 10 hours and has a positive 40 mood effect. A female Sim will sometimes receive this moodlet after sleeping in the “Sultan’s Tabernacle” which can be purchased for 2,500 Ancient Coins from a Special Merchant (requires a level 3 Visa).

Slow (requires The Sims 3: Late Night) – lasts for 3 hours and has no mood effect. Must be a Sims 3 vampire to receive this moodlet.

Lethargic (requires The Sims 3: Late Night) – lasts for 3 hours and has a negative 40 mood effect. Must be a vampire to receive this moodlet.

The Sims 3 Vampires Sleeping Vs

Drained (requires The Sims 3: Late Night) – lasts until your Sim falls asleep and has a negative 50 mood effect. Your Sim will eventually fall asleep – even if it is on the floor! Must be a vampire to receive this moodlet.

Slept Like the Dead (requires The Sims 3: Late Night) – lasts for 10 hours and has a positive 10 to 30 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet from waking up after a full night’s rest and varies in amount due to the quality of the bed they slept on. Must be a vampire to receive this moodlet.

Slept Like a Star (requires The Sims 3: Late Night) – this is one of the Sims 3 energy moodlets that lasts for 6 hours and has a positive 20 mood effect. A Sim that has reached the top of the Actor Branch in the Film Career and receives the “Actor Trailer” and sleeps in it will receive this moodlet upon waking.

Wide Awake – lasts for 5 hours and has a positive 10 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet from drinking a bar drink.
