The Sims 3 Fun Moodlets

Fun Moodlets in The Sims 3 all involve having fun (or not having fun) to some degree. Here are the current moodlets for fun in the game:

Entertained – lasts for at most 6 hours and has a positive 25 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this after they are having a high amount of fun.

Having A Blast – lasts for at most 8 hours and has a positive 40 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this after they are having an extremely high amount of fun. After the 8 hours runs out, the moodlet will change to “Entertained.” Children and adult Sims that have the Childish Sims 3 trait will receive the moodlet for 5 hours.

Strained – this is one of the Sims 3 fun moodlets that lasts for at most 2 days and has a negative 15 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this after they are lacking any fun in their life. If your Sim doesn’t have any fun for 2 days, they will then obtain the “Stressed Out” moodlet next.

Stressed Out – lasts until your Sim has fun again and has a negative 40 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this after they are lacking having any fun in their life. If your Sim starts to have fun, it will then switch over to the “Strained” moodlet and last for 2 days.

Pristine Picture – lasts for as long as your Sim watches TV and has a positive 15 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet only from watching TV on a high quality television.

Bad Reception – this is one of the random the Sims 3 fun moodlets that lasts for as long as your Sim watches TV on a cheap TV set and has a negative 10 mood effect.

Great Adventure – lasts for 3 hours and has a positive 20 mood effect. Your Sim can receive this moodlet from playing with the SimLife Goggles or from Time Traveling in a Sims 3 Time Machine.

Virtually Empowered – lasts for 5 hours and has a positive 15 mood effect. Your Sim can receive this moodlet from playing with the SimLife Goggles.

Virtually Victorious! – lasts for 8 hours and has a positive 25 mood effect. Your Sim can receive this moodlet from playing with the SimLife Goggles.

Virtually Nauseous – lasts for 2 hours and has a negative 25 mood effect. Your Sim can receive this moodlet from playing with the SimLife Goggles.

Virtually Terrified – lasts for 3 hours and has a negative 25 mood effect. Your Sim can receive this moodlet from playing with the SimLife Goggles.

Failed at VR – lasts for 24 hours and has a negative 15 mood effect. Your Sim can receive this moodlet from playing with the SimLife Goggles. Playing with those goggles isn’t always fun and games!

Technophobia – lasts for 25 minutes and has a negative 10 mood effect. Your Sim can receive this moodlet from having the Technophobe trait and they use electronics.

The Sims 3 Fun Moodlets that Require Expansion Packs

Some of the fun moodlets in The Sims 3 require an expansion package. Here are the ones that have been released so far:

The Sims 3 Time Machine In Use

Traveled in Time (requires The Sims 3: Ambitions) – lasts for 4 hours and has a positive 20 mood effect. Your Sim can receive this moodlet from using a time machine to travel to either the past or the future and has a good time.

Traveled in Time (requires The Sims 3: Ambitions) – lasts for 4 hours and has a negative 25 mood effect. Your Sim can receive this moodlet from using a time machine to travel to either the past or the future and has a bad time.

Thespian (requires The Sims 3: Ambitions) – this is one of the Sims 3 fun moodlets that lasts for 3 hours and has a positive 10 mood effect. Your Sim can receive this moodlet when they have the Dramatic trait and fake passing out. Hey, those Sims love drama!
