Did you know that your Sim can receive both positive and negative moodlets just from going to work at their career or profession? Find out about the work related moodlets that are in The Sims 3 with this guide!

    The Sims 3 Work Moodlets

    There are some positive and negative moodlets that a Sim can receive from going to work at their career or profession in The Sims 3. Some Sims are complete workaholics, or are really ambitious and want to move up the ladder fast – find out what happens to them if they miss work or aren’t promoted. Find out all about how your Sims moods can be affected by their career or profession with this guide to The Sims 3 work moodlets. Before you know it, your Sim will be moving up the ladder in their career and receiving positive effects that can last for up to four days!

    The Sims 3 Work Moodlets

    Likes Work – lasts for as long as your Sim is at work and has a positive 10 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet only if they have the Workaholic Sims 3 trait.

    The Sims 3 Ghost Hunter Profession  

    Missing Work – lasts for as long as your Sim is missing work and has a negative 30 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet only if they have the Workaholic trait.

    Anxious to Advance – this is one of the Sims 3 work moodlets that lasts until your Sim has a promotion at work, or improves a skill, and has a negative 15 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet only if they have the Ambitious trait.

    Overworked – lasts for 12 hours and has a negative 15 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when your Sim goes to work with a low level in their Fun needs fulfilled. You are not able to “Work Hard" when at work when this moodlet is on, and if you were working hard, it will be switched to “Business As Usual."

    Fired – this is one of the Sims 3 work moodlets that lasts for 24 hours and has a negative 30 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet if your Sim is fired from their job. No Sim likes to lose their job, so be sure to go in on time and not miss too many days!

    The Sims 3 Work Moodlets that Require an Expansion Pack

    The Sims 3 Fashion Profession   Stylin’ (requires The Sims 3: Ambitions) – lasts for 24 hours and has a positive 20 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they reach the top of the Sims 3 fashion career and last indefinitely. Other Sims are also able to receive this moodlet if they get a makeover from a Stylist. You won’t just look good from a makeover, but you will also feel Stylin!

    Neighborhood Hero (requires The Sims 3: Ambitions) – lasts for 4 days and has a positive 50 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they reach the top of their Sims 3 profession. This is a very nice effect that lasts a long time, so enjoy it and be proud of your accomplishment!
