Fire can be cozy and a nice source of some family time when used outdoors roasting marshmallows. However, it can also be quite dangerous when found as a fire trap in tombs, or when Singed or On Fire. It can lead your Sims to die if you don’t put out the fire! Find out how the Sims 3 fire moodlets will affect your Sims when at home, on vacation, and more!
The Sims 3 Fire Moodlets
Cozy Fire – lasts for as long as your Sim is around the fire and has a positive 15 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they are by a cozy fire or fireplace. Another interesting thing is that if your Sim has “Flame Fruit” in their inventory, they will have this moodlet for as long as it is in their inventory.
Warmed – lasts for 3 hours and has a positive 25 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they are near a fire and warmed themselves with the “Warm Self” action. Funny fact for this one: Mummies hate fire and will put out a fire if they see one and then receive the “Scared” moodlet.
Torched (requires The Sims 3: World Adventures) – this is one of the Sims 3 fire moodelts that lasts for 15 minutes and has a positive 35 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they are torched by a fire trap. This doesn’t impact your Sim negatively, unless they don’t jump into one of the dive wells to cool off soon!
Singed – lasts until your Sim bathes from their unfortunate accident with fire and has a negative 40 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they are burned by fire, use a drill hole (requires The Sims 3: Ambitions), if they don’t jump into a dive well after being torched, explore a mausoleum and have an accident, or are electrocuted. Sims will have the Singed clothing and hair on until they take a shower or a bath. It makes your Sims look like they were burned, partially nude Sims, and had their finger in a light socket. Caution: if your Sim tries to repair an electrical object while they are “Singed” they will almost certainly die! This may be good if you want to make a Sims 3 ghost though.
On Fire – this is one of the Sims 3 fire moodlets that you really need to be aware of. It lasts for 1 hour and has a negative 200 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they are on fire. Your Sim can catch on fire from fires in their house, attempting to cross over fire traps in tombs (requires The Sims 3: World Adventures) and not drenching themselves first to counter the fire, also random chance when inventing or sculpting (requires The Sims 3: Ambitons). Caution: if your Sim doesn’t extinguish themselves after the hour is up they will die, unless they have the Daredevil or Pyromaniac Sims 3 traits.
