The Sims 3 Lifetime Wishes

The Sims 3 lets Sims have goals and aspirations. This is known as a “Lifetime Wish” and Sims strive to fulfill this wish. The wish isn’t necessarily associated with their career, though most are. When a Sim accomplishes their lifetime wish, they are awarded with a very large amount of “Lifetime Happiness Points” (even more points if the Sim also has the “Ambitious” trait).

How to Change Your Sim’s Lifetime Wish

If you want to change your Sim’s lifetime wish, it isn’t that difficult to do anymore. You will need to work on fulfilling some of their happiness wishes in order to gain 10,000 points to spend on the “Change Lifetime Wish” reward though. This reward allows you to change your Sim’s lifetime wish to whatever they want to pursue. The Change Lifetime Wish reward is available for Child Sims and older. It disappears as a choice though once you achieve your Sim’s lifetime wish.

With the update to The Sims 3 Late Night expansion pack, Sims now can change their Sims 3 lifetime wishes to anything they want. Before the Late Night expansion pack, Sims were only able to change their wish to one that went with their Sims 3 traits.
