Leveling up your skills in The Sims Social is a very profitable way to earn Simoleons and experience points for your character. You can work on just one skill at a time, or work on all four types – the choice is yours!

    Skills in The Sims Social

There are four main skills that you can learn in The Sims Social. These include art, cooking, music, and writing. There are also some special holiday related skills that are available through using special objects.

Each time you work on a skill, you will earn 10 experience points and Simoleons. You earn more Simoleons if your Sim is “Inspired." To always earn the most money that you can, be sure that your Sim has all of their needs met before you use your energy and work on a skill. As you improve your skills, you will earn you more Simoleons for each advanced interaction on these skill objects. You will also randomly earn special items that are associated with that skill, such as a pen, plans, muse, etc.

Aside from the items that your Sim needs to use to earn skill points in The Sims Social skills, you can also unlock and purchase items to decorate your Sim’s home with that are related to these skills. You can find these in the “Shop" mode and are mostly in the “Decoration" section.

    Art

The art skill is similar to the “Painting" skill that is in The Sims series. The items used to improve your skill won’t give you items to decorate your house with, but it will earn you Simoleons that you can use to purchase items for your Sim’s house.

Your Sim has a hunger need in The Sims Social that needs to be filled, so you may as well learn how to cook in the game to earn extra Simoleons and experience points.

Starting with the Halloween event, special skills were added, too. More will likely be added as more holiday events enter Littlehaven. These are often required to use as part of The Sims Social quests for the event, so be sure to acquire them as they are available.
