    The Importance of Monster Quests

Monster Quests squad selection is an important part of The Warlords on Facebook. Monster Quests offer the player pieces for cards, items, or Facebook Points. The quests can be very time consuming so you will want the proper squads for each. We are going to list some of the best cards to use, without costing you Facebook Points. Completing these quests will allow access to alchemy cards and blacksmith items. The more you complete, the stronger your army will be.

    Pack of Develish Wolves

Pack of Devilish Wolves   Speed and health are important for this quest. The wolves do five damage, but only have one health. You also do not want to be doing a lot of damage to its defense. Luckily, there is an easy and cheap solution to this quest through the human squad. The Axe Thrower unit is available early on and is cheap. It also has a health pool of 14, allowing it to take soak up the high damage of the wolves.

    Monster Quest Squad Selection:

    • General Victus Creed, Main Hero with bow and shield, five Axe Throwers.
    • You want your hero to be using the bow to avoid doing defense damage. Also, you want it to be able to hit whatever is in play, regardless of its positioning. Using this setup should allow you to complete the quest in only three to four attempts.

    Monster Worm

Monster Worm   This quest is the easiest, as with proper gear and can be completed in one round. First, you will want only your main hero selected when creating the deck. When starting out, it is best to use five Gaucian Clerics. Equip your hero with its highest damaging weapon. The worm is immune to fire and such, so crafting the Long Sword is your best option. If your hero has the Defender Shield or the Dragon Scale Shield, your odds of completion will increase. If your hero has wings, it is pretty much a guaranteed victory in one round. Obtaining the critical strike helmet is important, Goblin Gloves and Armor Gloves do not work against the worm.

    Squad for no wings:

    • Main hero, five Gaucian Clerics.
    • With luck, your hero will come out first and you will be able to do some serious damage to the worm.

    Squad with wings:

    • Main hero, four gaucian clerics, and one Divine Strength Spell.
    • Even though the worm cannot hit you, it is important to have cards that will not hurt the worms defense. You want for your hero to be the only one attacking. With the Divine Strength spell and helmet, your damage will be at five, and your critical hits will do 15 damage. This setup will allow you to complete the quest in one attempt.

    Beetle Infestation

Beetle Infestation   The key to inflicting the most damage in this Monster Quest is poison immunity. Each unit that attacks a beetle will become poisoned unless they are immune. The beetles do a fair amount of damage, but the poison alone is what hurts the squad the most.

    Monster Quest Squad Selection:

    • Narken Lord, Main Hero, and five Garganis Serpents.
    • The serpents are immune to poison, deal good damage and have a decent amount of health. They also cause no damage to defense which is important when maximizing the number of kills. A shield, gloves, and wings are also beneficial in this quest.

    Monster Squid

Monster Squid   This quest can be tough, as the squid hits all units in play for considerable damage. It also disables whichever unit is directly above it. Therefore, you want cards that can do ranged damage.

    Monster Quest Squad Selection:

    • General Victus Creed, Main Hero, and five Ardenian Firebow units.
    • If you have a bow available for your main hero, now is the time to equip it. Each archer will be able to get at least one shot in and inflict some fire damage.

    Optional Squad Selection:

    • General Victus Creed, Main Hero, and five Ardenian Frostbow units.
    • The frostbow units cost Facebook points, but every five days you have the option to purchase a random FP card for coin. The advantage to this setup is that the squid is vulnerable to debilitating attacks. Each shot from the Ardenian Frostbow unit has a chance to freeze the squid, causing it to lose a round of attack.

    The Orb of Cronos

The Orb of Cronos   Another difficult quest, you are faced with a wide variety of enemy units. The problem unit in this quest is the Ardenian Sabertooth. When it attacks, all units in play lose one attack power. When faced with several of these, without proper squad selection, your units could be doing zero damage.

    Monster Quest Squad Selection:

    • Tarak'hun The Defiler, Main Hero, and five Flame Spectre.
    • The advantage to this setup is that Flame Spectres hit two units at once, regardless if they are land or air units. Also, their damage cannot be lowered by the Ardenian Sabertooth and they do no damage to defense. The bonus ability of Tarak'hun is also great. It gives the first unit in play immunity to death for two rounds.

    The Return to Gunthrall

The Return of Gunthrall   Similar to The Orb of Cronos in difficulty. You battle a mix of Orc land units and undead pirates. With the setup below you should be getting 18 kills each time, which is the maximum amount for this quest. The units will stop spawning, eventually after 60 rounds your defense will start to go down, ending the battle.

Monster Quest Squad Selection:(same as The Orb of Cronos)

    • Tarak'hun The Defiler, Main Hero, and five Flame Spectre.
    • The advantage to this setup is that Flame Spectres hit two units at once, regardless if they are land or air units. Also, they do no damage to defense. The bonus ability of Tarak'hun is also great. It gives the first unit in play immunity to death for two rounds.

    From Hell

From Hell   This quest is extremely chaotic. The variety in units causes it to be very difficult due to the randomness. You will need ranged units that hit hard, as the orcs that come out do massive damage. Therefore, take advantage of the ranged unit specifically designed for hard hitting opponents. The Damned Executioner, it has an average health pool. Its main specialty is that it attacks the opposing unit with the highest damage.

    Monster Quest Squad Selection:

    • Tarak'hun The Defiler, Main Hero with bow and shield, five Damned Executioners
    • The Damned Executioners will focus fire on the strongest card in play, killing it quickly. You want your main hero to be able to hit the card that is summoning more units. This setup will net you a good number of kills, greatly reducing the number of attempts needed.

    Ghoul attack

Ghoul Attack!   This quest contains those pesky ghoul units that gain health from dealing damage. Much like The Return to Gunthrall, you will want the same setup. Until you get some good alchemy cards or Facebook Point cards, the spectre will give you the best results.

    Monster Quest Squad Selection:

    • Tarak'hun The Defiler, Main Hero, and five Flame Spectre.
    • The advantage to this setup is that Flame Spectres hit two units at once, regardless if they are land or air units. Also, they do no damage to defense. The bonus ability of Tarak'hun is also great. It gives the first unit in play immunity to death for two rounds.

    Spider Queen

Spider Queen   Similar to the Beetle Infestation, poison immunity and zero defensive damage are key. To get the best results against the Spider Queen, you will want to take advantage of the Garganis Serpents unit. The Spider Queen will be spawning spiders, any unit that hits the queen will become poisoned. With this setup, there is a good chance one snake will be above her. The Garganis Serpent above the spider will receive zero damage due to its poison immunity.

Monster Quest Squad Selection:(same as Beetle Infestation)

    • Narken Lord, Main Hero without bow, and five Garganis Serpents.
    • The serpents are immune to poison, deal good damage and have high health. They also cause no damage to defense which is important when maximizing the amount of kills. A shield, gloves, and wings are also beneficial in this quest.
  • slide 12 of 12

    The Orcish Legion

The Orcish Legion   The last and most difficult monster quest for now, The Orcish Legion. Similar to From Hell, with hard hitting orc units. Only, now there are poisonous mushroom barricades, hurricane spells that ground your land units and the worst of all, Blood Bath. If you are unfamiliar with this card, it kills the weakest enemy unit and heals all allied units in play. This card tends to pop up a lot, so speed and damage, along with some poison immunity are ideal.

    Monster Quest Squad Selection:

    • Narken Lord, Main Hero without bow, and five Garganis Serpents.
    • The serpents will help against the poisonous mushrooms, while poisoning orc units as they come in play.

    Options for Second Squad:

    • Tarak'hun The Defiler, Main Hero without bow, five Damned Executioners. Just like in From Hell, you want units that will focus down the hard hitting orcs fast. You also receive the bonus of the undead hero's ability.
    • Tarak'hun The Defiler, Main Hero, and five Flame Spectre. Again, the bonus of the undead hero, as well as the fire power that the Flame Spectre brings.
    • Tarak'hun The Defiler, Main Hero, and five Flame Spectre.
    • These will hit anything that come in play, you also get the bonus of the undead hero's ability.
