The Sims 3 Object Moodlets

Objects can be found everywhere in The Sims 3. Your Sim probably already has a nicely decorated house in the game, and you may have noticed they feel good when being around expensive and nice objects. They also can feel sick when around certain things. Find out how the Sims 3 object moodlets can affect your Sims both positively and negatively.

The Sims 3 Object Moodlets: Houses

Fresh Start – lasts for 24 hours and has a positive 15 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet if they move onto an empty lot. Who doesn’t want a fresh start?

New Home – lasts for 24 hours and has a positive 25 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet if they move onto a new house. This is the biggest new object that your Sim could ever purchase, so enjoy it!

Tired From Moving – lasts for 6 hours and has a negative 10 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet after they moved into a new house, unpacked their items, and are starting to settle in. This mood effect can also happen when a Sim moves into another Sim’s home.

The Sims 3 Object Moodlets: Objects in the Home

New Stuff! – lasts for 2 hours and has a positive 20 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet only if they bought new items for their home. Sims that have the Snob Sims 3 trait will receive a positive 30 mood effect.

Stuff Taken – lasts for 24 hours and has a negative 15 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet if they had their stuff taken either by a burglar or from repossession. Sims that have the Snob trait will receive a negative 20 mood effect.

The Sims 3 Chinese Themed Decor

Superior Equipment – lasts for 3 hours and has a positive 30 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet if they have reached the top of the Culinary Career in The Sims 3 and have placed their new Kelvin fridge in their kitchen. Simply being in the same room as this fancy fridge will give Sims this moodlet!

Decorated – lasts for as long as your Sim is in the area that is decorated and has a positive 10 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they are in the room that is decorated. This effect requires only a few decorations. Sims that have the Can’t Stand Art trait will never receive this mood effect.

Nicely Decorated – lasts for as long as your Sim is in the area that is decorated and has a positive 25 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they are in the room that is nicely decorated. This effect requires quite a few decorations. Sims that have the Can’t Stand Art trait will never receive this mood effect.

Beautifully Decorated – this is a great effect for the sims 3 object moodlets that lasts for as long as your Sim is in the area that is decorated and has a positive 40 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they are in the room that is beautifully decorated with The Sims 3 objects. This effect requires the room to have many decorations in it, the higher quality the better. Sims that have the Can’t Stand Art trait will never receive this mood effect.

The Sims 3 Painting

Can’t Stand Art – lasts for 3 hours and has a negative 10 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet after they viewed art. Some Sims just don’t like art!

Cozy Fire – lasts for as long as your Sim is around the fireplace and has a positive 15 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they are in the same room as the fireplace that is lit. Sims can also receive this mood effect when they carry around a Flame Fruit in their inventory.

The Sims 3 Object Moodlets that Require an Expansion Pack

The Sims 3 Toyota Prius Car

New Car Smell (from The Sims 3: Ambitions) – lasts for 2 hours and has a positive 10 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they are riding in one of the new Sims 3 cars (does not include the cars called “Sloppy Jalopy” or the “Big Lemon” because they are not new vehicles). Sims can also receive this positive moodlet from walking over the “Floor Hygienator” that can be invented.
