The Sims 3: Ambitions

In “The Sims 3: Ambitions” expansion pack, Sims can now register as being self-employed. They no longer have to work for anyone else and can have a dream career of their choice. Sims can register at City Hall as being a writer, stylist, inventor and much more. Depending on what your Sim likes to do, there is a stay at home job for them!

One of the other more interesting things that Sims can now do with this expansion is that they can purchase venues in their town to earn money each week. This is an easy way for them to earn money by doing nothing extra. There is an upfront cost associated with purchasing the building, but over time your Sims will earn plenty of extra money from owning these businesses.

Buy Venues for Easy Income

Not all of The Sims 3 lots are available for your Sims to purchase as part of their business ventures. Only certain types of community buildings are available for The Sims 3 real estate, and they have to be purchased with a large sum of money before your Sim will return any profits on them. Start small, unless of course you use the money cheat.

Community Buildings Available for All Sims to Purchase

These are the buildings that are available in all towns and can therefore be purchased by all of the Sims, if they can afford the initial cost of it that is.

Tips on Upgrading Venues

To increase the level of The Sims 3 real estate venues, you’ll need to add in new décor and make some upgrades to the lot. This is easily done by just exchanging out the older and cheaper items and putting in the newer and more expensive upgrades. Don’t have the Simoleons? Use The Sims 3 money cheat!

Adding in decorations such as paintings, statues, and of course foliage will help to make it more appealing for Sims to want to visit the lot. Have fun with it and make it a place you’d want to hang out and Sims in the town will be sure to visit it!
