The Sims 3 Kids Moodlets

Kids and teenagers in The Sims 3 have some interesting moodlets that they can receive. How they do in school does matter to them, and even though sneaking out can be fun and exhilarating, getting caught by the police isn’t so fun. Find out how to make your kid Sims excel in school and feel good about it with this guide.

The Sims 3 Kids Moodlets

**

Educated – lasts for 3 hours and has a positive 10 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they take a class on a community lot in your Sims 3 town.

Honor Student – this is one of the sims 3 kids moodlets that lasts for 24 hours and has a positive 25 mood effect. Sim kids and teenagers that are able to maintain good grades receive this moodlet. For Sims to receive this moodlet, they need to arrive at school on time and in a good mood, and also finish their homework.

Learning Quickly – lasts for the entire time your Sim is using the Tri-Forge Stove (or another stove with an attribute that enhances learning) to improve their cooking skill. This moodlet does not have a positive or negative effect, but it will make them learn the cooking skill much faster.

Power Study – lasts for the entire time your Sim is at the library and is reading, studying, or is working at home. This is one of the Sims 3 kids moodlets that also works for adult Sims (except studying with school work) and it has no positive or negative mood effect. It does however, make your Sim learn the skill they are studying much faster.

Detention – lasts for 4 hours and has a negative 20 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they fall asleep at school, copy another Sim’s homework, don’t do their homework at all, or are slacking too much at school. Detention requires the kid or teenager Sim to stay after school for 2 hours.

The Sims 3 School

Failing – lasts for 18 hours and has a negative 40 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when your Sims 3 kid or teenager don’t complete their homework, or don’t go to school. This is not a very good Sims 3 kids moodlet, so make sure your children attend school with their homework finished!

Out After Curfew! – lasts for as long as your teenager is out past curfew without being caught and has a positive 15 mood effect. Your Sim will receive this moodlet when they are out past curfew. Caution: teenage Sims that are on a community lot (even if celebrating something fun like a Sims 3 Halloween Party) will send a police officer to the lot to then escort the curfew breaker home.

Caught After Curfew – lasts for 3 hours and has a negative 15 mood effect. Your teenage Sim will receive this moodlet when they are caught by the police after curfew. They will be lectured and unhappy for the rest of the night!
